Sept 21 Birthday

We made today all about Aurora. Starting with a 7 layer birthday pancake tower.

Followed up with presents from the mail box. She loves all the dragons. She has been building for nearly an hour for the dragons that came from all the wonderful people in her life.

Next up special birthday lunch....
But first - we interrupt your Sunday with Sunday post? What a surprise!!

A Box full of gifts and she goes straight to pop the packaging bubbles ;)

Awesome additions to her collection. She's missing just two now to complete the set:)

Lunch at the road house was so much fun! They brought out a saddle for Aurora to sit on, and the whole place gave her a big YEE-HAW to celebrate!

It was a great day!

Progress report- first nine weeks.

As you can see Aurora is doing well. She's a smarty (and a smarty pants).
She makes me proud every day. And the books she reads! She's reading books that are a year above her grade level. She needs a pen pal !

Aurora the Soccer Star

Aurora wanted to sign up for a sport this year. We talked about karate, gymnastics, and soccer. After comparing prices and schedules (school, work, Girl Scouts, home work and all) I signed her up for soccer! She's really excited to learn the soccer skills and get to practice during the week.

They have these small private classes and then meet as a whole a few times a year to have scrimmage games.

Here's a picture I snuck of Aurora as the goalie during the practice.

Happy Early Birthday to Aurora.

We celebrated Aurora's nbityday today with a small pool party. Aurora got a new bike, a TMNT shirt, batman tool belt set, and some awesome dragon toys. Happy 7th year kid!

Black eyed Susan...

For once a post about Aurora without a missing piece, or a visible bruise, or a broken bit. This beautiful first grader is the light of my life.

Ps - she did fall today. Gravity is not her friend.
