The Thanksgiving program at school was today. Aurora did a great job during her part of the program. Her class was dressed as turkeys.

Fall is in the air...

The weather has not been particularly fall-like here, but we are enjoying our chances to be outside as much as possible. We have been to the pumpkin patch, and carved pumpkins. We have been able to ride bikes and have fun! It's nice to enjoy this time while it lasts.

It's getting cold outside.

"Aurora, it's cold. You need to find something to wear that covers your legs."

"Oh and probably a jacket too."

...yes, that's our life. Our crazy beautiful life.

Fall Break Fun

Aurora had a great time over Fall Break. We had a little staycation and did some fun things around Madison.

First we attended a build it workshop at Home Depot. Aurora built an ambulance, played with the service dogs, and had a hotdog.
Next stop was the Madison Street Fest. Aurora got auburn hair color added, and enjoyed lots of crafts in the kid's area. She also spotted some fun characters in the crowd.

On Sunday we got together with a bunch of friends to have a shrimp boil downtown.
Tuesday there was a scout meeting, and then Thursday Aurora enjoyed a full day of scout activities to earn her gardening/outdoor journey patches. She had a blast during the watering can relay races!

Then this weekend lowes had a build it workshop for a haunted house. It was a costume party build it.
Aurora has decided to be batman this year for Halloween!

A new year of Girl Scouting

Aurora re-dedicated herself to her Girl Scout daisy troop last night. She's so excited to be a part of this amazing group again this year. This means cookies again in January!

I'm so proud of Aurora's many and varied interests. She is so well rounded. She loves soccer practice, building, learning about wild animals, and being a good citizen through girl scouting.
