Wednesday Wardrobe 2012-28

Aurora has a funny sense of humor. She is very stylish when it comes to accessories. She designed her own make up and ensembles on these days.
She called the face paint a "flying vampire cat".

Sunny flowers.

I love my sunflowers. Some are still blooming. I planted the seeds and they grew tall.

I'm trying hard to get back on track with the WW posts, here is last week's photo.
Aurora has some meat opinions on clothes, and I just adore her for it.

Stopped Somewhere Sunday Summary

The WW post for the 11th of July is missing. So today you are going to get a "stopped somewhere Sunday summary"

I picked up Aurora this morning in DeRidder, LA; at the police station of all places, sadly there were no free donuts or coffee available.

We headed south through Lake Charles and on to Baton Rouge.

On the way we stopped to see some quirky roadside attractions. There was an animatronic swamp show at the welcome center.

Followed by a live tiger at the Tiger Truck stop. Even though the tiger was sleeping it was still neat.

Then lunch with an old friend in Baton Rouge at an amazing food truck!!

Followed by seeing Old Blue Eyes the town gator.

It's been a great trip so far! I'm so glad to have Aurora back from vacationing without me.

Our summer has thankfully been extended (thank you state of Alabama!) so we will have a few weeks of relaxed summer fun before we go to the beaches in North Carolina with our people.

Look for more updates. And keep in touch.

Wednesday Wardrobe - The 4th Fun - 4 July 2012

Wednesday Wardrobe - The 4th Fun - 4 July 2012

Post by Guest - John Mabes

Today Aurora wanted to wear her [...patriotic swimsuit] because she had said, "I want to be proud too." We spent the day at Toledo Bend Lake, where we swam and fished the day away. We spent the evening watching and shooting off fireworks off in celebration of our independence. All in all it was a fantastic 4th of July.
