All clear! Get that Brace out of Here!

We made it to the appointment!!! Thank goodness, we were delayed in Honolulu and held up in Dallas.. But arrived in Huntsville on time!!

In and out, two X-rays later and she's been given the all clear! Recommendation to avoid all bounce houses and things with wheels for three more weeks. Pools and playgrounds and roller coasters are fine.

Daisy scout awards ceremony

Aurora has had a very good year as a daisy scout! We had our awards ceremony last night. Aurora has earned every daisy petal and lots of fun badges, like good manners, I survived cookie season, fire house, horsing around, and good manners.
Girl scouting has been a very fun adventure for us! We finish the year with a troop camp out  at the end of May.

Aurora vs gravity

It's been a busy week around here. On Wednesday Aurora fell at school on the playground. The nurse called to let me know there had been a fall, but that she thought she was fine and it wasn't bothering her any more.
I called 2 hours later to check, and all seemed well.
After school, the sitter met me at the dentists (no cavities wonderful!) but aurora was showing some signs of discomfort like not able to use the left arm to turn the door knob and a little tenderness to the touch(although she still said it didn't hurt)
I decided it would be better to rule out a break than assume a sprain...

Well here we are. A buckle fracture of the left radius.

Luckily there is no cast needed!!
